Every day of ministry I have the ability to connect with people on some level. And obviously as a Christian it is that of faith, most of the times. That actually looks like giving words to people, being intentional and interested in their life story. Getting past just being around them to wanting to get connected outside of ministry. It’s hard to make time even now to go out with some men for example that we meet. Because our weekend time with our squad is important to us. But I always come back to myself and say are they worth my free time. OF COARSE THEY ARE!!

Also Doing ministry last Friday night with women and men who sell themselves on the street was humbling to say the least. It’s so heartbreaking yet such an opportunity for breakthrough in their life. A lot have a lack of love in their life. But we got to extend that through coffee, cookies and convo. Just going to the safe house of the ministry was mind blowing. The passion they have had for  9 years of doing this is a testament to Gods faithfulness. I was so comforted by the amount of young people who are willing to step out and serve Gods children. They have let God take them somewhere else so they can love others. Although I may have the ability to see some people once through ministry. It leaves a lasting impact because of who we do it for. Christ. Seeing how much work is in the field and how there are few workers gets me fired up to take full advantage of my 9 months. Just wanted to share some mind notes.

Side note:: I’ve seen so many people that look like my family members back home. Great way for God to remind me of who I’m impacting.

  1. Thank you for that encouragement brother! I love being a tool that the Lord can use. He has shown me that I need to be constant in prayer for my family and friends because it’s powerful. Can’t wait to talk again.

  2. Such truth Mrs. Amy!! Thank you for your continued petition and prayers toward the father. What a blessing to have mothers who are willing to raise their children in the instruction of the Lord. Keep seeking God in your city!! Love you.

  3. Mi familia en FLORIDA!! Ojalá que la están pasando bien. Gracias por ese recuerdo que aún que no lo vemos, Dios está haciendo cosas en los cielos. Con su tiempo y también para nosotros. May you pray for clarity when I hear the voice of God. Thank you so much, los quiero muchooooo.

  4. Your heart and passion comes out in the way you write. So cool to see and hearts like yours are so needed in the church. This is encouraging for me. Also your side note really hit me. Everyone is someone’s family. Keep up your heart for the Lord and God bless ya!

  5. Brandon, your “mind notes” reminded me of several Bible verses:

“But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, ‘The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest’.” Matthew 9:36-38

“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.” Isaiah 6:8

“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11

The people that you are ministering to in Costa Rica are souls that are ripe for the harvest. You are one of the laborers that said, “Send me.” Every conversation you have is planned by God, and is either a seed planted, watered, or fruit ready to be harvested; often the brokenhearted are the most receptive. This also reminds me that my city is a mission field, and that I need to look for opportunities for conversations with eternal impact. What a mighty God we serve!

Sigue edificando y creciendo. Sigue dando que nada se desperdicia.
Siempre estoy orando por ti y tu equipo. Te queremos muchos tu familia en FL
