This Monday we got the opportunity to go out and share what God was putting on our hearts for people. The morning of I heard a great truth. I was wondering weather what I hear is from God and it’s hard to distinguish which ones mine and which ones Gods. Usually God is already speaking to us and giving images, visions, words of knowledge, etc. However, we as Christians have the tendency to question. I heard a great reminder from Gabe Sanchez, who came to teach the morning of. He said that, to not forgot the Devil’s first words in Genesis 3:1 were, “Did God actually say,”. So since the beginning of time the deceiver has been questioning what God says. It’s our job to obey and trust that the lord will soften the receivers heart to the word we give them.

As we went out into the community, The mall was were staff felt led to take us. As we began to give words to people, some were SUPER specific, others just a message of love and hope from Jesus. However, I got the opportunity with Doug Duffey, an elder here at the base in Costa Rica, to share with a Tico (a Costa Rican man). And Doug just shared with him what the Lord has gave him. All of a sudden the guy had went from shock to explaining what’s happening in his family and how he had to step into the position of provider for a house of 6. Since his Father was laid off. He had been losing hope and maybe suffering from some depression. After being in his presence and praying for him. He actually started to laugh and radiate right in front of Doug and I.

God has been sharpening me and allowing these elders who love the Lord. To show me the confidence that they have that what God says isn’t false and how we can walk in obedience without stressing over words to give. HALLELUJAH!

  9. It takes a whole lot of humility and patience to steward the voice of the Lord well, but it’s super powerful when done correctly. Glad to hear you’re being affirmed in this. God has a lot for you to step into and knowing how He speaks to you is so important in getting there!

  10. Reading this gives me hope. Hope to see that the men on the race are obedient, submissive and real. All characteristics that are admirable.

As time goes by His voice will be clearer and even stronger but keep pursuing it. Seeing a difference right in front of us is beautiful but remember we might not see them all but its about obedience. You might plant and have to walk away but God will water and nourish it so it will blossom in due time.
