Hey guys….glad you took time to read this…let’s hit play.
PLAY??
We hit the road running. Let me tell you about it…
We drove to Knoxville got an amazing opportunity to spend with the Chandler family, met up with a group of twenty somethings who are wanting more of Jesus, which is amazing to see. Matt and myself drove to some surrounding areas to meet some world some men who had done the race a handful of years ago. Honesty I can say, it feels like you meet a family member that you never knew. And you can talk about life, relationships, and the kingdom, knowing that you both are genuinely invested in the time spent together.
For example, Austin. He had did gap year and now he is getting married and investing his time in a college ministry setting. Or others are like Chris, who we met at a Pilot gas station for a few minutes. He had done the World Race and G42, and know he and his wife are called into full time missions. So we were able to point him to a connection in Knoxville, to have that close sense of community while he’s in the waiting.
After a weekend there we went to a Thursday night service for the University of West Georgia. There my homie Matt gave a challenge/call-to-action to the students. After the service, a few of them came up to us to ask about the Race. This is where I am so thankful to get to do this, you have people expressing their current situation and their hopes. Valuing their heart is important. And to get the opportunity to point back to the voice of the Lord is amazing.
PAUSE ? we are in Texas, in quarantine. Been here a week. However, this isn’t new, this is the world we live in. I’ve chose to buy into it and just sit in the presence of the Lord, and enjoy life. Sometimes life is constantlygoing, but when it stops is it still life? YES, every time.
Yes it is still life and it is so so good. As much as I know y’all have been looking forward at the “go”, I’m glad y’all get the chance to pause, rest, reflect. Love that you see it in the positive light that it truly is. Soak in the gift of time you have with him right now.
Love you brandon, thank you for keeping us updated!
